💬 In a few words:

Heavens to Betsy, Kristi Noem is backing her young protégé, Madison Sheahan, for Congress! This girl is leaving chaotic ICE right after a scandal. What in the world is going on?

More details:

Oh, The Scandals! My Teacup is Practically Rattling!

Well, I never! Have you heard the latest from Washington, sweetie? It’s enough to make a grandmother clutch her pearls! Apparently, that young thing, Madison Sheahan—you know, the deputy director over at ICE, only twenty-eight years old, mind you!—is just skipping on over from that chaotic agency to run for Congress!

And guess who’s cheering her on? None other than Secretary Kristi Noem herself! She’s saying Madison is a “terrific leader” and a “workhorse,” which is just fascinating considering all the hubbub surrounding ICE right now. It seems everyone is talking about this big move, especially with all the trouble brewing over there.

It’s like she’s leaving a sinking ship, dear. And Secretary Noem is out there with the pompoms, bless her heart, saying Madison will be a “great defender of freedom.” One has to wonder, freedom from what, exactly, when folks are still reeling from that terrible shooting incident? Oh, the drama!

Honestly, I'm Shaking My Head So Hard!

A "terrific leader" at 28, with barely any law enforcement experience? Back in my day, you earned your stripes! My goodness, this Madison used to be an aide to Noem when she was governor in South Dakota, and then she was off playing with wildlife and fisheries in Louisiana. Wildlife, can you imagine?

And now, she’s been running ICE, an agency that’s been in such a mess lately, with protests everywhere! Then Secretary Noem, who’s facing her own heap of trouble, just pats her on the head and says, "Go on, sweetie, you’ll be grand in Congress!"

“You’d think they’d want someone with a bit more… seasoned wisdom for such important jobs, wouldn’t you?”

It just makes you wonder if they’re just shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic, if you catch my drift. And then, when some nice Democratic congresswoman, Robin Kelly, tried to hold Noem accountable with impeachment papers, the Department of Homeland Security just waved it off as “silly!” Silly? Well, I never!

So, Here's What ACTUALLY Happened, Bless Their Hearts:

Now, let’s get down to brass tacks, because some things just aren't gossip, they're facts. The real reason ICE is in such hot water is because an agent named Jonathan Ross actually shot and killed a woman, Renee Nicole Good, in Minneapolis. Can you believe it? Five times, they say!

Naturally, this has caused an absolute uproar. There have been thousands of protests, sweetie, all across the country and even overseas! People are begging ICE to leave their neighborhoods and demanding that this Agent Ross be charged for what he did.

And that’s where Congresswoman Robin Kelly stepped in, bless her cotton socks. She’s had enough of what she calls Noem’s “reign of terror” and filed three articles of impeachment: for obstruction of Congress, violation of public trust, and self-dealing. Seventy Congressmembers are backing her, too!

But the DHS spokesperson? Oh, they just scoffed, saying Representative Kelly should focus on her “crime-ridden Chicago district” instead of all this “showmanship.” Honestly, the way they talk to each other these days!

Why Grandma Just Can't Even Today!

It’s all just too much, isn't it? One minute we’re talking about an important agency, the next it’s a political squabble about who’s cleaning up whose backyard.

You have a young gal with a *spotty* resume getting a promotion to Congress, a Secretary facing impeachment over a deadly shooting, and everyone just pointing fingers!

It makes me miss the days when folks just did their jobs quietly and with a bit of decorum. Heavens to Betsy, if this is how things are run, I might just need another slice of pie and a very strong cup of tea to get through the rest of the news!

Grandma's waiting on your verdict

Pour dear Grandma another cup by tapping how this gossip feels. She can't finish her knitting until you whisper your take.
