💬 In a few words:

Well, I never! President Trump’s National Guard troops are heading home from Chicago, L.A., and Portland after the Supreme Court *tisk-tisked* his plan. He says he'll be back, heavens to Betsy!

More details:

The Latest Kerfuffle!

Well, sweetie, have you heard the latest kerfuffle? President Trump is apparently pulling his National Guard troops out of Chicago, Los Angeles, and dear old Portland! Can you believe it? It's just like when your cousin Martha finally gave up on that ill-advised perm; sometimes you just have to admit defeat.

Heavens to Betsy, it seems the Supreme Court had a little something to say about it all, didn't they? They just *tisk-tisked* his plans like I do when I see folks wearing white after Labor Day. And you know what that means for our dear President, bless his heart.

Grandma's Got Opinions!

Oh, but don't you worry your pretty little head, he's already huffing and puffing about coming back 'stronger' when crime 'soars again.' Honestly! It's like he thinks we're all just waiting for the next dramatic episode, isn't it? As if we don't have enough to talk about at bingo night!

The governors, bless their hearts, they're just beside themselves. Governor Newsom from California, he practically clapped his hands and said,

"We won in court and forced him to. Trump’s rambling here is the political version of 'you can’t fire me, I quit.'"

Imagine! And Governor Pritzker from Illinois, he practically shouted

"Donald Trump's lying again!"

on that 'X' thingamajig. Oh, the drama, it's thicker than my gravy!

What Actually Happened, Bless Its Heart

Now, let's get down to brass tacks, because sometimes all this hullabaloo can confuse a body. What actually happened, according to those fancy Supreme Court folks, is they looked at his little request for Chicago and said, 'No, thank you, dear.' They ruled he just didn't have the proper authority to send the military to run things in Illinois. It was an 'unsigned order,' which sounds terribly official, doesn't it?

This little ruling mostly affected Chicago, of course, but it probably put a damper on his plans for other places too. Except for Washington D.C., mind you, because that's a whole different kettle of fish, being federal property and all. So, it's not a complete shutdown of his troop-sending adventures, but it certainly clipped his wings a bit in those states, didn't it?

Grandma Just Can't Even Today!

Honestly, sweetie, sometimes I just can't even with these politicians! One minute they're sending troops hither and yon, the next they're pulling them back after a judge says 'boo!' It's all just a big game of political tug-of-war, and who suffers? Well, the folks living in those cities, that's who!

He's been using those poor National Guard folks like pawns in a chess game, sending them mostly to places with those Democrat governors. Like he’s trying to prove a point, bless his heart. Though, I hear he did manage to get some sent to New Orleans under a Republican governor, so he's not entirely out of ideas, that sly fox. But the back-and-forth is just exhausting! Pass me another slice of that apple pie, would you, dear?
