💬 In a few words:
Oh, sweetie, you won't believe the drama! President Trump is just beside himself, telling Colorado's governor and a district attorney they should "rot in hell" over that Tina Peters situation. Heavens to Betsy, the language!
More details:
Oh, the Drama, Sweetie! President Trump Is Just Beside Himself!
Well, I declare! You absolutely will not believe the kerfuffle happening out in Colorado. Our President, Donald Trump, is apparently just beside himself with indignation!
He actually took to his Truth Social — you know, that internet place where he shares his thoughts — and said some things that would make my teacup rattle! He told the Colorado Governor, Mr. Jared Polis, and some district attorney that they should, and I quote,
"rot in hell."
Apparently, Tina is 73 years young and ailing, and she's sitting in a maximum-security prison for trying to do… well, for trying to do something about those elections back in 2020. Nine years, they gave her! Can you imagine?
My Goodness, Such a To-Do Over Everything!
Honestly, the way people carry on these days! Back in my day, if you had a problem, you’d just write a strongly worded letter, not wish perdition upon public servants! Though, I must admit, when he called that district attorney a "disgusting 'Republican' (RINO!) DA," I had to chuckle a little. Oh, sweetie, the labels people come up with!
And then there was that whole business where President Trump said he’d pardoned Tina Peters! Bless his heart, he tried. But darling, it turns out you can’t just wave a magic wand and pardon someone for state-level crimes when you’re the President. It just doesn't work that way! It's like trying to bake a cake with no sugar – lovely thought, but not quite right.
Now, What *Actually* Happened, Bless Her Heart
So, let's set the record straight, because sometimes these stories get a bit tangled, don't they? Tina Peters, she was the clerk for Mesa County in Colorado. And back in 2020, she got herself into a pickle.
The poor dear was accused of election interference. What she did, apparently, was let someone from that MyPillow fellow's camp — you know, Mike Lindell, the pillow man — get access to the county's election software. Oh, the digital shenanigans!
She was slapped with seven state-level charges, including "attempting to influence a public servant" and even criminal impersonation. And that's why she’s in a prison for nine years. It wasn't just a friendly peek, dear, it was a whole *situation* that landed her in hot water.
Honestly, I Just Can't Even Today!
Well, I never! Between the strong language, the confusion over who can pardon whom, and the whole idea of "trying to stop voter fraud" ending with someone in prison, my head is just spinning!
One minute, the President is calling someone a scumbag, the next he’s attempting a pardon that isn't quite valid. It's enough to make a grandmother need an extra slice of pie and a very strong cup of tea. The things they get up to!
Honestly, it’s all just so dramatic! Can't we all just get along and follow the rules? It would save us all a lot of heartburn, wouldn't it? Just another day in the headlines, and frankly, I just can't even!
Grandma's waiting on your verdict
Pour dear Grandma another cup by tapping how this gossip feels. She can't finish her knitting until you whisper your take.
